I Know, But Why?

Psalm 44 is a wonderful example of believers knowing the truth, yet still struggling with the “Why?” question. It’s especially helpful because, like the man born blind and Job, their trial is not due to any particular sin. Note how they cry out to the God who seems to have abandoned them – faith remembers God’s past acts and character, and clings to Him even when He seems distant. If you are struggling today, meditate upon this psalm. Then find a psalter and sing it out loud!

Ezra
